To connect to a remote computer, that computer must be properly configured for remote access. The easiest way to do this is to install Screens Connect (available for Mac and Windows) on that computer. Screens Connect is available for Mac and Windows.

It may sometimes be necessary to use an alternative configuration method to set up your computer for remote access. This may apply under conditions such as:
You choose not to, or are unable to, install Screens Connect on the computer.
You’re using an operating system not discussed in this guide.
Automatic router configuration isn’t possible.
To make the computer available outside the local network, you may use a third-party dynamic DNS service such as No-IP to configure Screens with a publicly accessible URL pointing to the computer to be accessed. For more information, check out this article.
